Position Overview

HSI is seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented full-time Medical Assistant with Receptionist experience to support both our Caldwell and Boise offices.

This role is a blend of clinical and front office responsibilities. You will play a key part in ensuring smooth daily operations, supporting both medical providers and administrative workflows.

Responsibilities include administering injections, collecting UA samples, completing medication prior authorizations, scheduling appointments, checking in patients, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate documentation.

We're looking to hire a detail-oriented, self-motivated, and reliable Medical Assistant with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. This position requires travel between our Caldwell and Boise clinics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet clients in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner

  • Complete medication prior authorizations

  • Process medication refills

  • Administer injections

  • Observe and document UA results

  • Answer incoming calls, address patient questions, and route inquiries appropriately

  • Schedule client appointments using our EMR system

  • Verify client information, update records, and collect copays/payments

  • Upload and scan documents into patient charts

  • Document all patient interactions in the EMR

  • Ensure all duties are completed thoroughly with strong attention to detail and follow-through

  • Provide scribing support as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program

  • Medical Assistant experience 1+ preferred

  • Prior receptionist experience in a medical or behavioral health setting preferred

  • Proficient with computers and electronic medical record systems

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Compensation & Schedule

  • Competitive hourly pay dependent upon experience

  • Monday-Thursday: 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

  • Friday: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM

  • Boise: 2 days per week (Required)

  • Caldwell: 3 days per week (Required)

  • Occasional travel to a Caldwell SNF location for scribing (on your Caldwell day schedule, mornings, rare but if needed)

Pay: Dependent upon experience
